Builders Labourer

The Builder’s Labourer is responsible for assisting with a wide range of construction, civil, and precast concrete manufacturing tasks across various worksites in the Waikato region. This role involves supporting construction operations, handling materials and equipment, maintaining site safety, and assisting in the manufacture of precast concrete products.

Day to day duties may include: • Load, unload, and transport building materials, tools, and equipment around construction and manufacturing sites. • Assist with erecting and dismantling temporary site structures including barricades and scaffolding. • Mix, pour, and spread construction materials such as concrete, mortar, and plaster. • Operate safely at heights using ladders, scaffolds, hydraulic bucket trucks, and related access equipment when required. • Assist with demolition, excavation, and site preparation duties. • Dig trenches and holes, remove excavated materials, and assist with earthworks operations. • Spread and level soil, sand, and gravel on roads, driveways, trench bases, and other surfaces. • Assist in the manufacture of precast concrete products, including spun concrete pipes and related components. • Strip, clean, and reassemble moulds used in the precast manufacturing process. • Carry out general site cleaning and basic maintenance duties. • Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and wear the correct PPE at all times. • Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and safely.

• Ideally experience in construction, labouring, precast concrete, or other hands on physical work • Class 1 Licence preferred, but reliable transport to Hamilton sites is essential. • Site Safe Passport advantageous • Physically fit and capable of performing manual labour tasks. • Strong work ethic with the ability to follow instructions and work within a team environment. • Commitment to workplace health and safety practices. • Ability to Pass Pre employment and ongoing Drug testing • Clean Criminal History
