Temporary Processing Officer

Join our team as an Processing Officer for a fixed term and play an important role in supporting New Zealand’s voting process. In this role, you will help maintain an accurate voters data by processing applications in line with legislative, policy, and procedural requirements. This role enables the public to enrol and update their details with ease. You will work within a collaborative team to deliver timely and accurate processing services, while also supporting wider operations group functions when required. Responsibilities may change over time to meet organisational needs.
Key Responsibilities:- • Manage and process all online and paper-based transactions, including the processing and uploading of mail. • Complete quality assurance checks and validation processes to maintain roll accuracy. • Provide administrative support in enrolment processing. • Identify opportunities to review the accuracy of completed work. • Recommend business process improvements for roll maintenance. • Manage the privacy and security of information at all times in accordance with the Privacy Act. • Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive matters. • Ensure proper procedures are followed and all documentation is maintained. • Assist in ensuring the smooth operation of functions.

Job Requirements
• A background working in a data processing centre or similar would be desirable. • Previous experience working on a general election would be desirable but not essential. • A high level of computer skills beyond MS Word. • Must pass an MOJ check, police check, and drug test. • Must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand. • Relationship management skills and the ability to work in a team. • Ability to demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring work is completed correctly. • Planning and organisational skills. • Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines. • Ability to work with detail while understanding the bigger picture. • Strong problem analysis skills and good judgement. • A high level of flexibility and the ability to multitask. • Strong English comprehension skills. •Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
