Farm Assistant
About this job
We are looking for a farm assistant for our hard-working farm in the Buller. We need someone to assist in milking; Producing high quality milk; Following our procedures in the efficient and hygienic milk harvest; Assisting in the safe handling of animals; Reporting health and welfare issues as per farm policy; Weed and Pest control; Setting break fences and feeding out as required. Our new assistant needs to be a team player who works well with others, and who adds to our strong team culture. They will also model our farm's health, safety and well-being policy. Our farm operates as a well-structured business, ensuring that our effort to produce high quality, high value milk impacts on our income and ensures that we are able to meet outgoing costs.
Job Requirements
-Relevant experience of at least 2 years OR relevant qualification in animal studies. -Self Management -Punctuality -Good personal presentation -Time management skills -Efficiency -Current up to date CV outlining all experience -Drug testing is mandatory on this farm -Non smokers only.
There's shared accommodation so not suitable for couples or a family.
