Duty Manager

Well established bar and restaurant in Kingsland needs an experienced and highly skilled Duty Manager. The role requires strong leadership, operational management, and digital marketing expertise to ensure exceptional guest experiences and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities: •Open and close the premises, performing pre opening checks and end of day cash reconciliations. •Supervise and mentor staff, including recruitment, induction, rostering and performance reviews. •Manage inventory and supplier relationships; order stock, control wastage and negotiate pricing. •Oversee cash handling, banking, payroll preparation and budgeting; prepare financial reports for management. •Ensure full compliance with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012, health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards. •Plan and execute events, functions and promotional activities, working closely with the marketing team to maximise revenue. •Develop and manage the business’s digital marketing presence: create and schedule social media posts (Facebook, Instagram), maintain website content, and run targeted online advertising campaigns using Facebook Ads Manager and Google Ads Manager. •Handle customer enquiries and complaints promptly and professionally, maintaining high service standards and resolving issues. •Coordinate with kitchen and security teams to ensure seamless operations and a safe, welcoming environment.
Job Requirements
•Minimum two- three years’ recent experience in a senior hospitality management role (duty manager, restaurant/bar manager or similar). •Current Manager’s Certificate and Licensing Controller Qualification (LCQ). •Demonstrated experience supervising and training staff and managing multi shift rosters. •Proven expertise in digital marketing: social media management •Strong financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, payroll and cash management. •Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues calmly and effectively. •Availability to work rostered shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays. •Event planning or promotional experience is highly desirable.
