Port Labourer

This business has work for those who are motivated and reliable. You do not need to have experience or skills for this role, but you need to want to learn and have a strong work ethic. You will be rewarded with good pay, flexibility, and the opportunity to get great experience under your belt.

You will be an essential part of the gateway to the south, managing a range of exports, or anything from fertiliser, and a range of machinery that are imported from across the world. You will be part of the unloading or loading process, cleaning out the ships, or ensuring the port is ready for incoming work. Health and safety is critical in this position and you are going to be working in a hazardous environment. You will need to be able to follow instructions, be proactive, but not reinvent the wheel - doing it the right way is the only way.

This work will see you on 12 hours shifts but you will be paid well for your work - you will be on a casual basis. You don't have to say yes to the work, but if you do then reliability is essential and expected. Permanent roles are typically taken by those who start on a casual basis, but you have to work your time and be prepared to put in the hours.
