An Upper Hutt Rest Home is looking for a part time Care worker to join their team.
The Care Worker will provide essential support to residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
Responsibilities include:
• Assist residents with personal care. • Keep the Rest Home clean and tidy, including light housekeeping tasks. • Perform laundry duties for residents. • Serve meals and assist residents with eating, ensuring dietary needs are met. • Organize and participate in activities.
Hours and Shifts
• Saturday 7am-1pm and 5pm-7.30pm. • Monday and Tuesday 5pm-7.30pm. • Thursday and Fri 7am-1130am. Must be available for on-call at short notice.

Job Requirements
• Must have respect and empathy for the elderly and be caring and friendly. • Must be organised with time. • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. • Must be able to communicate well with others. • Good grasp of English language/written skills and reading. • Ability to learn quickly. • Must have reliable transport • Must be available to cover other shifts at short notice. • Must be able to pass a drug test and police check. • Must have an up-to-date CV & provide work/character references.
