We are seeking reliable and safety-focused Asbestos Workers to join our team in Penrose. You will be responsible for the safe removal, handling, and disposal of asbestos-containing materials from residential, commercial, and industrial sites.
The role requires strict adherence to health and safety regulations, use of protective equipment, and working as part of a team to ensure projects are completed efficiently and safely. Key Responsibilities - Safely remove asbestos materials following approved procedures - Set up and dismantle containment areas and decontamination units - Operate tools and equipment used in asbestos removal - Follow all WorkSafe NZ regulations and company safety protocols - Wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times - Dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with legal requirements - Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors - Complete site documentation and reports as required

Job Requirements
- Current Class A or Class B Asbestos Removal Licence (preferred) - Previous experience in asbestos removal or general construction/labour work - Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices - Ability to pass a medical assessment and respirator fit test - Physically fit and capable of performing manual labour - Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player - Current Site Safe Passport (preferred but not required)
Pre-employment Checks: Minor convictions are okay. Not willing to consider candidates with assault, theft & CSO convictions

- Monday to Friday (hours vary between 6:00am – 6:00pm) Occasional weekend work may be required (40 hours per week)
