Truck Driver

A South Dunedin-based employer is seeking a reliable and motivated Full-Time Class 2 Truck Driver to join the team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys driving, takes pride in customer service, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced delivery environment.

Key Responsibilities: -Timely distribution of bread and other goods in line with delivery schedules and contractual obligations -Work closely with dispatch and delivery teams to ensure smooth operations -Follow daily delivery plans and routes while helping optimise delivery efficiency -Merchandise and maintain product displays during deliveries when required -Engage with supermarkets and other representatives when making deliveries, demonstrating excellent customer service skills, respect and communication. -Comply with all company policies, traffic laws, health & safety requirements, and transport regulations -Conduct pre-start vehicle inspections before commencing deliveries -Load and unload goods safely and accurately, ensuring delivery requirements are met -Manage packing slips and delivery documentation, including obtaining customer signatures where required -Handle pallets, straps, and delivery equipment responsibly -Maintain regular communication regarding traffic conditions or delays that may affect deliveries -Keep the truck interior and exterior clean and tidy at all times -Report all accidents, incidents, or vehicle issues promptly

30-35 / week 1 year experience as Truck Driver Valid New Zealand Class 2 Driver Licence Good knowledge of road safety and transport regulations Physically fit and capable of handling loading and unloading duties Strong communication and customer service skills Reliable, punctual, and well-organised Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Previous delivery driving experience is essential Able to Pass MOJ/Drug test Updated Cv required
