Join our talented team as a full-time Baker based in Paekakariki, Wellington. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for crafting delicious breads, pastries and other baked goods to delight our customers. With a focus on using high-quality, locally-sourced ingredients, you'll play a key part in upholding our reputation for exceptional baking.
What you'll be doing
Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, pies and other baked goods according to recipes and company standards
Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance and product quality
Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations
Share your baking expertise and provide guidance to junior team members
Job Requirements
Formal training or certification in baking or culinary arts
Minimum 2 years of experience as a professional baker
Excellent knowledge of baking techniques, food safety, and sanitation practices
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure
Passion for using high-quality, fresh ingredients to create exceptional baked goods
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
