Waiter/Front of House

Seeking Waiters/Front-of-House for a well-known premium 100% pure vegetarian Indian Food restaurant in Central Auckland.

This restaurant specialises in North and South Indian cuisine, indo-chinese, tandoor and curries, Indian sweets, snacks, Chaat (Indian street food), vegetarian and eggless bakery, packed hampers and gifts for special occasions for weddings, Diwali etc.

You need to be energetic with a bubbly personality, exceptional interpersonal and customer service experience.

Duties will include:

- Setting and arranging tables with cutlery, glassware, and other necessary items. - Greeting customers and presenting them with menus and beverage lists. - Order taking and serving customers. - Taking food, beverage, sweets, chaat orders from customers. - Co-ordinate with Kitchen staff to promptly serve orders on time. - Serving food and beverages, ensuring proper presentation and temperature. - Working on hot food and the sweets/chaat counter and preparing and serving hot food and chaats, including associated jobs related to the workstation. - Boxing sweets, snacks and chaat etc for takeaway orders. - Providing attentive and friendly service to customers, addressing their needs and concerns. - Recommending dishes and beverages based on customer preferences. - Handling customer complaints and resolving issues in a professional manner. - Clearing used dishes, cutlery, and glassware from tables and to do dishwashing, if required. - Removing empty bottles and used glasses from tables, and refilling and replacing glasses. - Replenish the Condiment Table. - Fill fridges with cold drinks and chilled goods, as required. - Collecting payments for sales and operate Eftpos and cash registers. - Preparing sales invoices and providing receipts to customers. - To inform Manager for items going low in stock and replenishing supplies. - End of shift/day cleaning of floors/washrooms. - Filling out all Food Control Plan (FCP) sheets on a regular basis, as and when required. - Any other relevant tasks and duties as assigned by Manager from time to time.

The hours are a minimum of 30 hours a week but can be more hours depending on how busy the restaurant is.

- Right to work in New Zealand. - Able to pass pre-employment checks (medical if required), a drug test and MOJ check (MOJ to be clean) - New Zealand Full or Restricted Driver Licence (to get to and from work). - Both waitressing and Front-of-House experience is required but either experience will be considered. - Exceptional people skills and customer service. - Attention to detail; excellent communication and listening skills. -Good level of physical fitness and able to serve in a fast-past environment and be able to be on your feet for long periods - 1 year relevant experience in a similar role. - The ability to speak Hindi and knowledge of Indian Cuisine would be advantageous - An up to date CV on file is a must
