Customer Service & Retail Assistant – Designer Ethnic Wear

Papatoetoe, Auckland Tuesday to Sunday 10:00am – 5:30pm

We are looking for a friendly and customer-focused Customer Service & Retail Assistant to join a vibrant boutique specialising in Asian and Indian designer outfits. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, has an eye for style, and understands the cultural significance of ethnic fashion.

About the Role In this role, you will: • Provide warm, personalised customer service by understanding client needs and helping them find the perfect outfit • Offer expert advice on styles, fabrics, sizing, and occasions (weddings, cultural events, festivals, etc.) • Showcase and demonstrate a beautiful range of designer clothing and exclusive ethnic wear • Handle sales transactions, including creating invoices and processing various payment methods • Assist with stock management, including stocktakes and maintaining accurate inventory • Maintain an attractive store environment through merchandising, window displays, and product presentation • Carefully package and wrap purchased items to ensure a premium customer experience

• Strong interest or experience in Asian/Indian ethnic wear (e.g., sarees, lehengas, salwar suits, designer outfits) • Excellent communication and customer service skills • A friendly, approachable personality with a passion for helping customers • Retail or sales experience (preferred but not essential) • Good attention to detail and organisational skills • Ability to work weekends (Tuesday to Sunday roster • Must be able to pass drug test/Police and Ministry of Justice checks • Provide an updated cv with relevant/similar work experience.
