A Te Puke based employer is looking for a motivated individual to join their team.
Task are to provide and maintain, individualised quality care to the residents and assist them achieve the optimum level of wellbeing for each person under the direction and supervision of qualified nursing staff and management.
You will have a positive compassionate attitude, the ability to make others smile, and be great at working with people.
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our residents are cared for to the highest standard with kindness and patience, in a warm and caring atmosphere
Need to be able to provide personal cares (showering, toileting, cleaning teeth/hearing aids/shaving, assisting with meals), positioning, and communicating well with residents.
Applicants shortlisted for this role will be supported through the recruitment process by a Ministry of Social Development (MSD) contracted Service Provider. This support includes assistance with interview preparation and overall readiness to help applicants present their skills and experience confidently. As part of the pathway into employment, ongoing pastoral care and in-work support will be available for up to six months following placement to help ensure a successful and sustainable transition into employment.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience caring for others, within an aged care environment ( Dementia experience is desirable) - Full driver license and own transport to get to work due to the hours worked - Consent to pre-employment police vetting check. - Be willing and able to work across all the stated shifts including weekends and overnights
