Kia Puta Ka Ora Emerge Aotearoa is a Kaupapa- driven, national organisation committed to empowering tangata whaiora and their whanau through mental health, addiction, disability, and wellbeing services across Aotearoa. We're looking for passionate individuals to express interest in casual roles within our Health & Disability Services in the beautiful rohe of Tauranga Moana. While this is an Expression of Interest for casual employment with no guaranteed hours, we remain committed to connecting you with the opportunities that match your skills and location as they arise.

He korero mo to turanga / The Role

You'll walk alongside tangata whaiora and their whanau, supporting them to build confidence, tino rangatiratanga (self-determination), and mauri ora (wellbeing) in their everyday lives. Whether you bring professional expertise or a passion for helping others, your mahi will play a vital role in uplifting and empowering those in the community. Our services support either youth or adults and are delivered in residential or community-based settings-all grounded in the belief that everyone has the potential to thrive.

The hourly rate for the role is $25.67 to $30.52

We're seeking kaitono mahi (applicants) who bring resilience, and a strong commitment to personal and professional growth. Ideally, you'll have. *A level 4 Certificate in Health & Wellbeing (or equivalent), or a willingness to complete this within 2 years *Proven experience in mental health, addiction, disability, or social services-experience supporting rangatahi (youth) is required for those interested in Youth Support Worker roles.

Job Requirements

Must have *Excellent communication and whanaungatanga (relationship building) skills. *A Level 4 Certificate in Health & Wellbeing (or equivalent), or a willingness to complete within two (2) years *Proven experience in mental health, addiction, disability, or social services-experiencing supporting rangatahi (youth) is required for those interested in Youth Support Worker roles *Must have a reliable vehicle *A full NZ Driver's License and legal right to work in Aotearoa *Must hold and maintain first Aid certification including CPR (or be willing and able to complete this)

Monday to Sunday - Hours: from 10 to 30 hours per week. Must be flexible to work varied days and hours - (casual) (20 hours per week)
