Daily Tasks Involved in the role Main duties and responsibilities Material Handling and Logistics • Unloading and Receiving: Unloading of all solar components, including foundation piles, steel racking systems, and boxes of PV modules (solar panels). • Distribution and Staging: Transporting and precisely distributing materials across the site to the specific, designated installation areas. This includes moving steel posts, torque tubes, and racking systems. • Lifting and Placement: Utilising the telescopic boom to lift and safely position structural components (like tracker sections) or pallets of solar modules at height or reach, supporting mechanical crews during assembly. Safety and Equipment Maintenance • Safety Adherence: Strict compliance with all site safety procedures, traffic management plans, and load handling protocols, especially when lifting heavy or irregularly shaped materials. • Pre-Start Checks: Conducting mandatory daily pre-start and post-shift inspections and routine maintenance (e.g., checking fluid levels, tires, hydraulics) to ensure the heavy equipment is always in safe, working condition. • Communication: Maintaining clear and constant communication (often via two-way radio

You will be required to assist other teams and workers throughout your day, including manual handling and labouring tasks. Job Requirements

Site Safety Passport or equivalent NZ: WTR (Wheel, Track and roller) endorsement specific to equipment The following are desirable; Telehandler Operations • Non-Rotating: Unit Standard 23637 (Operate a non-rotating telescopic handler with attachments). • Rotating: Unit Standard 33426 (Operate a rotating telehandler with attachments). • Lifting/Slinging: Unit Standard 1769 (Use a mobile plant to move loads) or 30072 (Slinging routine weights). Skid Steer Operations • Primary: Unit Standard 16703 (Operate a skid steer loader). • Secondary: Unit Standard 23727 (Operate a wheeled or tracked loader)

Days of work
Monday-Friday, then Monday-Saturday fortnightly 7 am till 5.30pm 55 hours a week Bus leaves Rakaunui Road, 6:10am sharp. (55 hours per week)
