Steel Fixers - Ashburton We are on the lookout for experienced Steel Fixers to join our team at our brand-new purpose-build Ashburton facility.

This full-time position offer the chance to work with a collaborative team, contributing to the company's continued growth and expansion in a supportive and rewarding work environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

Primarily (Steel Fixer): - Place and tie reinforcing steel accurately in line with Busck shop drawings and Busck steel detail sheets - Read shop drawings - Operate overhead gantry crane (Once trained to do so) - Operate Forklift, Franna Crane, Tractor or Merlo (Once trained and licensed to do so)

Secondary (Concrete Worker): - Prepare and set out precast formwork to Busck guidelines, ensuring it matches the plans provided ready for concrete pour. - Place reinforcing steel cages and cast in items - Pour and finish concrete into formwork to Busck guidelines. - Demould product when cured, check/clean cast in items, and ensure product is ready for lifting and storage. - Assist with yard duties.

Safety & Teamwork Safety is a big deal here. You’ll be expected to: - Keep your work area clean and tidy - Follow all health and safety rules and wear the right PPE - Look out for yourself and others working around you - Lend a hand with other site work when needed, including yard, construction, and standard product tasks

What We’re Looking For - Experience as a steel fixer and / or concrete workers or experience labouring or in the construction industry. - Someone reliable, practical, and happy to pitch in - A team player with good communication skills

-Experience as a steel fixer/ concrete worker experience in the construction industry. -Must be prepared to learn -Someone reliable, practical, and happy to pitch in -A team player with good communication skills -Will pass a pre-employment drug test -Will pass a MOJ check Applicants must have New Zealand residency or be legally able to work in New Zealand without restrictions.
