Driving Instructor

A business in Hamilton has been serving people from diverse cultural, ethnic, and linguistic backgrounds for over 25 years. We work alongside refugees, migrants, Maori, Pasifika, rangatahi, and wider communities to improve social, economic, and wellbeing outcomes, supporting successful settlement and community connection.

Passport2Drive (P2D) is our community driving school, established in 2016 to remove barriers to driver licensing. We deliver affordable, culturally responsive, learner centred driver education to help people gain their Restricted and Full driver licences in supporting road safety, independence, and access to employment.

We are seeking an experienced I Endorsed Driving Instructor to join our Passport2Drive team as part of our new youth initiative, Driving Change in the Community.

This role focuses on working with school students and young people aged 16 to 24, supporting them to build confidence and successfully achieve their Restricted and Full driver licences.

You'll be part of a supportive, values driven team delivering high quality driving instruction in a culturally responsive and engaging way.

-I-Endorsement is a must -Deliver driver training aligned with NZTA standards -Support rangatahi to prepare for Restricted and Full licence tests -Build positive, respectful relationships with learners -Provide calm, culturally responsive, and learner-centred instruction -Contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment -Ensure safe use and operation of dual-control training vehicles
