Duty Manager (LCQ essential)

Joe’s Garage Rolleston is seeking a motivated and reliable Duty Manager to support the day-to-day operations of our busy cafe in a fast-paced hospitality environment focused on excellent customer service and high operational standards.

The role involves overseeing daily cafe operations, ensuring smooth service delivery, and consistently providing friendly, professional customer service.

You will supervise and support front-of-house and barista staff, assist with training, and ensure company procedures are followed.

Duties include preparing coffees and beverages when required, handling customer enquiries, and resolving complaints professionally. You will assist with opening and closing procedures, maintain cleanliness, presentation, and hygiene standards, and monitor service flow during busy periods. The role also involves processing payments accurately, supporting stock ordering and stock takes, assisting with rostering and administration, ensuring compliance with health & safety and food safety requirements, and supporting promotions and events.

Current Duty Manager Certificate (essential). Hospitality experience, barista skills essential. Strong customer service, communication, leadership, and team support skills.
