About the Role We are seeking expressions of interest from Apprentice Fitters through to experienced Senior Fitters to join our Maintenance Team. This role plays a critical part in keeping our sawmill and timber-processing equipment running safely and efficiently.
We are particularly interested in applicants who bring fabrication and welding skills.
Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and repair sawmill and timber-processing equipment
Carry out preventative maintenance across mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Support breakdown response and troubleshooting
Assist with maintenance of mobile plant e.g. forklifts, loaders, diggers
Fabrication and welding tasks as required
Contribute to continuous improvement and safe work practices
About You We are open to all levels of experience - from those starting their trade through to seasoned Fitters. Ideally, you will bring:
Experience in general engineering
Trade qualification Fitter Turner / Fitter Welder or working towards one
Fabrication and welding capability
Experience with mobile machinery maintenance advantageous
Preventative maintenance knowledge
A proactive approach to Health & Safety
Clear communication and a can-do attitude
Willingness to learn, grow, and contribute to a high-performing team
