Tech Retail business is seeking a Demand Planning Analytics and AI Specialist to support demand planning, inventory optimisation and forecasting within a live supply chain and logistics environment.

This is a hands on operational role combining day to day demand planning with advanced analytics and AI capability. You will be responsible for forecasting accuracy, inventory performance and purchasing support while developing AI driven models that improve operational outcomes. We are looking for someone with practical supply chain and logistics experience who can apply advanced analytics and AI to real business data.

Key Responsibilities Manage daily demand planning activities including forecasting, stock analysis and supply planning Analyse historical sales data, demand trends, seasonality and customer behaviour Monitor forecast accuracy and adjust forecasts with Purchasing and Logistics teams Provide demand driven insights to support purchasing decisions and product availability Monitor stock levels, shortfalls, backorders and overstock risks Recommend optimal stock levels, reorder points and safety stock using data driven analysis Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders regarding availability, ETAs and order requirements Support purchasing processes and maintain accurate system records Assist with stock audits and discrepancy investigations Design, build and maintain AI and advanced data models for forecasting and inventory optimisation Apply statistical, predictive analytics and machine learning techniques to sales, inventory and supply chain datasets Independently develop and refine data models Evaluate and improve model performance using forecast accuracy and operational KPIs Translate model outputs into actionable recommendations Develop reports and dashboards providing visibility of demand, inventory and supply risks Support AI driven optimisation initiatives including analytics for livestreaming and commercial events Contribute to system enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives involving advanced analytics

Job Requirements

Key Requirements

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to communicate insights clearly to non technical stakeholders • Demonstrated professional experience building AI or advanced data models developed and applied in a commercial or operational environment • Alternatively, currently studying toward or holding a formal AI or Data Science qualification combined with hands on experience building AI data models • Candidates must be able to clearly explain the models they built, the data used, their individual contribution and the business or operational outcomes achieved • CVs may include examples of AI data model development

Days of work
Rotating rosters, 40hrs/week. Flexibility required. (40 hours per week)
