Seasonal Vineyard Worker - Winter
About this job
Seasonal vineyard tasks with a focus on pruning, stripping, trimming, wrapping and wire lifting/dropping. Tasks may also include planting, new vine training, and general vineyard maintenance. Full training will be provided for all tasks.
This work is labour intensive requiring physical strength and involves a lot of bending, stretching, and crouching. Being physically fit and able to work in variable weather conditions is a must. Alternate hours will be considered on a case by case basis if candidate has their own transport. Pay rate will range from $23.95-$26.35 depending on the experience you bring to the role. Work will extend from Late May - Early September.
Our teams are multinational so candidates must be comfortable working in a team of mixed nationalities with different cultures and languages.
*Transport is available from Blenheim train station or the Hortus office at 3043 SH1, Riverlands. *Transport costs to be confirmed.
Job Requirements
*This role requires you to be physically fit. *Not suitable for anyone with back or knee concerns and should not have injuries or mobility restrictions. *Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions is essential. *Previous vineyard experience is preferred. *Must pass pre-employment drug test. *Must pass a criminal background check. *Current CV needed highlighting experience

- Monday – Sunday, 6.30am – 5pm. 30-45hrs. Some days may be longer or shorter based on weather conditions and client demands. (30 hours per week)
