Truck Driver - Wainui

A Transport Company based in Wainui are seeking 5 new Truck Drivers to join their growing team. Our ideal candidates are those that display self-motivation, passion, and a great work ethic.

Duties include but are not limited to: Drive and operate company trucks. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures. Supervise or help with loading their truck. Check the condition of the load and that it is secure. Follow correct safety procedures. Keep records of, and check invoices for, goods they carry. Plan the best delivery route. Document and log work/rest periods and kilometres spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts. Find ways to conserve resources, including fuel, to benefit the business. Serve as a brand advocate and ambassador in every interaction with clients and the public. Observe and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately. Report any accidents or vehicle issues encountered while driving to supervisors. Maintain vehicle equipment; clean windows, windshields, and mirrors as needed. Keep the interior of the vehicle clean of debris and clutter.

The candidate will be required to travel within Auckland region and to nearby regions. All work related travel and fuel costs will be covered by the employer.

Must have a valid NZ Truck Driver’s license (Minimum Class-4) or Overseas Heavy Truck Driver’s License. Relevant work experience is preferred but not mandatory Must be able to work between Monday to Sunday including night shifts. Must pass drug and alcohol tests. Must have a clean driving record. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
