HIPPY (Home Interaction Programme for Parents and Youngsters) is a home-based early education programme that helps parents to get their 2-5-year-old children ready for success in education. Tutors support families enrolled on the HIPPY programme by visiting families in their homes (or virtually) and teach parents/caregivers activities that parents then use to teach their own child.
Your duties will include: • Attending initial and weekly training and professional development sessions with your Coordinator. • Attend weekly meetings with your Coordinator to discuss the work of each family. • Assist at Group Meetings every month and encourage parents to attend. • Make regular home visits to deliver workbooks and programme support to whanau on the programme. • Arrange meeting timetables for home visits and keep the Coordinator informed of any changes • Collect weekly reports from families • Keep accurate accountability records, including online timesheets • Prepare weekly materials and equipment to be used during weekly tutor training and home visits. This is a fixed term role during school terms only. Work phone provided.

Ability to pass pre-employment checks including MOJ checks Hold a minimum of restricted license
