Fundraising Coordinator

A Whangarei based non-profit organisation is seeking a new team member to support their events and community fundraising initiatives across Northland.
This role will coordinate events run by the organisation, and support events run by community groups.
As this is a new role, this will be a 12-month fixed term contract, with the potential to expand.
This role will: - Provide both on site and behind the scenes operational assistance for organisation-led and community run events. - Collaborate closely with colleagues, participate in team meetings, and keep accurate records. - Offer technical guidance and system assistance to event participants and community groups. - Contribute to copywriting for participant and donor communications. - Deliver exceptional supporter care across a range of communication channels, including phone, email, SMS, and occasional in person interactions - Respond to all fundraising queries with timely, welcoming, and solutions driven support

Job Requirements
• Highly organised with strong time management skills • Excellent customer service and community engagement skills • Strong computer literacy, with confidence using databases and online platforms • Proficient in Excel and general office systems • Experience with phone, email, SMS, and digital platforms (preferred) • High level of accuracy and attention to detail • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities • Experience working in an administrative or fundraising support role (preferred) • Must have full driver’s licence • Must be able to pass a criminal record check and drug test • Flexibility for weekends twice a year for large events (preferred)

- Work hours between 8:30-5:00pm Monday to Friday Weekend work twice a year if possible (30 hours per week)
