Truck Driver - Class 2

A New Lynn based waste management company is seeking a Class 2 Truck Driver to join their team on a full-time basis.

Daily responsibilities include: • Operating Class 2 waste collection vehicles, safely and efficiently collect, transport, and empty domestic and commercial rubbish and recycling bins in accordance with scheduled routes • Accurately complete daily bin emptying records, route sheets, and any required documentation relating to collections, missed bins, damaged bins, or service issues • Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the waste collection vehicle, including washing, cab cleanliness, and safe storage of equipment, carry out minor maintenance tasks where required • Report operational issues such as missed collections, obstructed access, damaged bins, customer complaints, or vehicle faults in line with company reporting procedures • Conduct daily prestart and post operation vehicle checks, including oil, water, fuel, tyre pressure, safety equipment, vehicle security, huboMT readings, and RUC (road user chargers)

• Hold a clean full Class 2 Licence • Have a minimum of 1 year of experience driving a Class 2 vehicle (mandatory) • Must be physically fit and strong, as commercial bins can be heavy to handle manually • Maintain a proactive approach to your own health and safety, as well as the safety of those around you. • Maintain a professional road-courtesy manner • Available to work on weekends if needed - flexibility required • Pass Ministry of Justice/Police Check & a Drug Test
