Store Manager

An employer in Marton is looking for an experienced and motivated Store Manager to lead their supermarket team and deliver an exceptional shopping experience for customers. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and is passionate about both people and performance.
Hours are 3pm - 9pm Wed - Sun
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure customers receive prompt, friendly, and efficient service at all times - Respond to customer enquiries and resolve complaints regarding goods and services - Plan and prepare staff rosters, assigning team members to specific duties - Lead recruitment processes, including interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new staff - Train, supervise, evaluate, and support team members, including performance management and development - Handle staff grievances and assist in resolving workplace issues - Guide staff in managing complex or challenging sales situations - Assess returned goods and determine appropriate actions in line with store policies - Conduct stocktakes, monitor inventory levels, and manage stock ordering - Ensure all products are accurately priced and attractively displayed - Enforce workplace health, safety, and security procedures
What We’re Looking For: - Must have reliable transport - Must pass MOJ and drug check - Proven experience in retail or supermarket management - Strong leadership and team management skills - Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities - Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities - Solid understanding of inventory control and merchandising principles - Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
