Department of Corrections is looking for Corrections Officers to work at one of their facilities which is located 21 km north of Otorohanga and 9 km south of Kihikihi. The prison is within commuting distance of surrounding communities including Arapuni approximately 42 to 44 km, Putaruru approximately 49 km, Tirau approximately 62 to 65 km, Lichfield approximately 72 to 75 km, Mangakino approximately 60 to 63 km, Tokoroa approximately 78 to 82 km, and Whakamaru approximately 92 to 96 km.

You will also need to pass a drug test have a clean MOJ record hold a Full New Zealand Driver Licence or be eligible on a Restricted Licence and be medically fit for employment including completing a Medical Assessment and a Physical Readiness Assessment. The benefits The starting salary for this position is $70,019 per annum. There are opportunities to increase your salary as you achieve national qualifications. Level 3 $74,697 Level 3 above $76,697 Level 4 $80,213 and Level 4 above $82,213. Employee benefits include

Job Requirements
restricted or Full license. Must declare conflicts of interest and previous convictions. Pass a drug test and declare any previous charges. Must be able to pass a medical assessment and work rostered shifts (must be available for weekends). You will undergo a comprehensive selection process that will assess you against the employers core requirements.
