Asbestos A & B Removalist

We are seeking Asbestos A & B Removalists to safely and professionally deliver asbestos removal projects across the Auckland region and beyond.
Responsibilities: - Safely remove non-friable (B Class) and/or friable (A Class) asbestos-containing materials (ACMs). - Carry out site preparation including installation of enclosures, polythene sheeting, signage, and negative pressure units (NPUs) as required. - Conduct encapsulation and/or decontamination processes using approved methods and PPE. - Assist in the setup and operation of decontamination units. Health and Safety Compliance - Adhere to the Health and Safety at Work (Asbestos) Regulations 2016, HSWA 2015, and relevant ACOPs. - Follow all company and site-specific Asbestos Removal Control Plans (ARCPs). - Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and risk assessments including completing TAs/JSEAs prior to work. - Wear and maintain correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
Travel to projects within the Auckland and wider surrounding area is the responsibility of the employee. For projects located outside of Auckland, travel, accommodation, and an overnight allowance to cover meal expenses will be provided. No overtime pay rates apply to this position.
Job Requirements
- Certificate in asbestos removal (Class A and/or B) - Current Site Safe Certificate - Certificate in working at heights advantageous - Driver license and reliable transport to travel across regions - Must be readily available to work out of town as required - Must be able to pass pre-employment and on-site drug tests
- Days of work
- Timing varies depending on project requirements, ranging from 7:30am – 5:00pm, Monday – Saturday, with occasional overtime (40 hours per week)
