A South Auckland– Papakura, based employer is seeking a confident and motivated individual to join their team as a Senior Welder within the water infrastructure sector. This role offers an excellent opportunity to further develop skills while contributing to the maintenance and repair of critical Watercare assets.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform welding, fabrication, and repair work on water infrastructure assets • Maintain and service Watercare equipment and systems to a high standard • Ensure all work complies with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements • Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs • Work collaboratively with team members and contribute to a positive work environment • Maintain accurate records of completed work and inspections

Job Requirements
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Current and valid welding certifications/tickets / qualification • Relevant 2yrs welding experience and willingness to continue learning and developing • Strong work ethic with a positive and proactive attitude • Ability to take initiative and demonstrate accountability for personal and team performance • Commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes • High attention to detail • Good level of English comprehension and communication skills • Strong listening and interpersonal skills • Criminal convictions will be considered on a case-by-case basis
Occasional weekends. Need to be able to work flexible hours.

- Monday to Friday: 7am -5pm, occasional weekends. Need to be able to work flexible hours. (30 hours per week)
