Steam Plant Operator / Loader Driver

A great opportunity exists for a Steamer/Boiler plant operator doing shift work for a Reporoa-based company. The successful candidate will undergo training on day shifts until confident. The shifts are 4 on 4 off, 12 hour shifts, one month of days, one month of nights. This position involves but not limited to the following:

• Operation of a wheel loader (experience preferred but on the job training offered) • Loading & unloading of bogies with roundwood & occasional timber. • Management of control systems & PLC Systems • Everyday running of Vekos & Hurst Boilers • Fuel delivery to boiler • Great time Management. • Boiler Operation level 3 qualification advantageous (also offered to right applicant).

The successful applicant will need to be able to work unsupervised and have good initiative. A practical background in running plant or machinery will be required

This is a shift role which will involve night shift and weekend work. On job training to enable operators to become trained to NZQA standard will be provided for the successful applicant. They are located out of Taupo, so a full drivers licence and reliable transport is necessary to get to site.

Applicants must have relevant experience. A practical background in running plant or machinery is required Boiler Operations Level 3 (Advantageous) Wheel loader experience (preferred) Experience working with computers Able to work unsupervised Physically fit and able to lift up to 25kg Candidates should be willing and able to study and gain qualifications related to the role Immediate start required An up-to-date CV and application letter are required to be considered for this role.
