In this role, you will supervise daily routines, help people navigate prison life, escort them to hearings and appointments, and support their engagement in rehabilitation programmes. • Have strong interpersonal skills and can communicate clearly and respectfully • Operate with high levels of integrity and professionalism • Demonstrate sound problem solving skills and the ability to think critically • Can work effectively in a culturally diverse environment and have an understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi • Are able to work rostered shifts across a 24/7 pattern, including weekends and public holidays • Hold a full, clean New Zealand driver licence (or are eligible to obtain one) • Be capable of performing the physical aspects of the role, which may include standing and walking for extended periods, escorting people, and responding to situations as required.

Job Requirements

-Legal right to work in New Zealand -Proficient in spoken and written English -Full Class 1 NZ Driver Licence -Willing to undergo full police vetting (clean slate act does not apply) -Be prepared and able to spend five weeks in Wellington for initial training -Willing to undertake pre-employment drug and alcohol testing -Able to work 24/7 rotating roster, including weekends, nights, and public holidays -Reliable support for dependants or family responsibilities while working shifts -Willing and able to complete a pre-employment medical and fitness assessment
