A Rest Home in Kohimarama is seeking an experienced Personal Care Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. Must have an understanding of Tikanga Maori, Te Ao Maori values and Te Tiriti.

The ideal candidate will be someone who is kind and trustworthy individual with a positive attitude and a genuine commitment to enhancing the wellbeing of residents and their Whanau.

Duties include:

• Assisting whanau with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping • Providing companionship and emotional support to whanau, engaging them in social and recreational activities • Advocating for whanau needs and ensuring their preferences are respected • Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to whanau care • Collaborating with the broader care team to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to whanau support If you meet the requirements, we'd like to hear from you, please apply today with updated CV!

Job Requirements

Must have 1 year of experience as health care assistant. Must have a minimum of a Level 2 Health & Wellbeing Certificate. Must have an understanding of Tikanga Maori, Te Ao Maori values and Te Tiriti. Must pass MOJ check and Drug test. A full Class 1 Drivers Licence.

Days of work
Monday to Sunday rostered hours 7am to 3pm (40 hours per week)

$25 to $30ph dependant on experience
