A leading pest control company is seeking a Pest Control Technician to join their team. This role is based on the North Shore, the employer would prefer candidates that are based on the North Shore. The role involves managing a portfolio of clients across the Auckland region.

Key Responsibilities • Conduct site inspections to identify pest activity and determine treatment plans • Apply pest control solutions and provide advice on prevention and management • Identify hygiene and environmental risks to improve safety and health standards • Complete accurate digital service reports after each visit • Deliver professional and high-quality customer service • Identify opportunities to recommend additional value-added services
Job Requirements
Essential Requirements • Full NZ Class 1 driver’s licence with a clean driving record • Must be able to pass Ministry of Justice(Clean criminal record), drug, and medical checks, and provide references • Strong commitment to safety-first practices and Health & Safety compliance • Ability to work independently while maintaining a team-focused mindset • Willingness to travel long distances and stay overnight when required • Physically fit and capable of manual work • Comfortable working outdoors in various environmental conditions • Excellent customer service skills and ability to maintain client relationships • Confidence using mobile devices and related applications • Employer prefers candidates that reside on the North Shore.
Desirable (Not Essential) • Experience and knowledge of pest control regulations and methods • New Zealand Certificate in Pest Operations – Urban Pest Control • Current NZ Firearm Licence • Ability to operate a manual vehicle • Experience or licences for Working at Heights and Elevated Work Platforms (EWP)
- Days of work
- Monday to Friday, Starting between 6-8:30am, finishing between 3-5pm Occasional weekend work may be required. (37 hours per week)
