A popular catering and buffet restaurant based in Otahuhu are seeking a skilled Chef with speciality in Pasifika-inspired cuisine (Island food).
Key duties: -Develop and prepare menu for buffet and range of catering events from private events to weddings amongst many others. -Strong focus on quality and attention to detail. -Food hygiene and safety conscious with excellent knowledge and skill regarding Pasifika-inspired cuisine. -Skilled in operating a semi-commercial kitchen and equipment. -Ideal candidate enjoys working as part of a close-knit team, reliable, detailed-focused, and organised.

Job Requirements
-Must have solid kitchen/Chef experience (catering experience is a bonus). -Must have excellent knowledge of Pasifika-inspired cuisine. -Must have a full driver license. -formal cooking qualifications/food safety certificate would be preferable if you have solid cooking experience and understand Pacific Island Food you will be considered -must be able to work rostered shifts which could be early starts and late finishes including weekends and public holidays -be able to be on your feet for long periods -physically fit and strong -able to work in a fast paced environment -reliable and flexible -reliable transport to get to and from work
