Chef - (Prep & Cold Section)

We are looking for a Chef for a busy restaurant in Botany
Key responsibilities:
• Food preparation – handling cold section items such as salads, cold starter, dessert and garnishing • Kitchen operations – maintaining and organizing preparation area • Assisting other section if needed • Food safety and hygiene – maintaining cleanliness according to company policy • Ensuring good communication within the kitchen area – working closely with kitchenhands and other chefs
Please note that this is a part time role but full time can be offered to someone suitable
Job Requirements
• Relevant hospitality/cookery qualification (e.g. Level 3 or 4 Certificate in Cookery) • some hands on experience is preferable • Basic food safety certification or willingness to obtain one • Must have good knife skills • Ability to follow recipes & instructions • Ability to stand for long periods and can work on rostered shifts • Must pass pre employment checks like MOJ check and drug test (MOJ must be clean) • Can work well under pressure and a fast paced environment • Be reliable and flexible • Have an up to date CV on file • reliable transportation to get to and from work - there will be some late finishes where public transport may not be available

- Rostered shifts Monday - Friday between 4pm till 11pm Saturday and Sunday - from 12noon (20 hours per week)
