Class 5 Truck Driver

A Logistics company is looking for a skilled and dependable Taupo-based Class 5 Truck Driver to join its growing transport team. This is a floating role, requiring flexibility to work across different routes, shifts, and start times (including early mornings, nights, and weekends). This position is ideal for drivers who are adaptable and comfortable working in a 24/7 logistics environment. Key Responsibilities Operate Class 5 heavy vehicles safely and efficiently Complete deliveries and pickups across assigned routes Load and unload freight as required Ensure full compliance with NZTA road safety regulations Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Maintain accurate logbooks and delivery documentation Follow dispatch instructions and delivery schedules Report incidents, delays, or vehicle issues promptly Keep vehicle clean and presentable at all times

Skills & Experience Valid New Zealand Class 5 Driver Licence (essential) Strong knowledge of road safety and compliance requirements Ability to work flexible hours (24/7 roster) Dangerous Goods and Forklift endorsements (Desirable) Physically fit for manual handling tasks Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused Good communication and time management skills Able to pass an MOJ check
