A national freight company is on the lookout for a Class 2 Truck driver living in Taupo - immediate start is required. The role involves driving a curtainsider truck delivering freight within the Taupo region. Ideally, you will hold a Forklift and Dangerous Goods (DG) endorsement (though training can be provided for these if needed). Previous freight delivery experience is desirable but not essential. In your role you will: Safely and efficiently drive class 2 vehicles delivering and collecting freight within the Taupo and Bay of Plenty region. General Warehouse duties including loading, securing, and unloading freight. Maintain trucks and trailers, including fuel, wash, RUCs, and general upkeep. Use EROAD electronic logbooks to accurately record driving hours, rest breaks, and trip details in line with NZTA compliance requirements. Work closely with dispatch, warehouse teams, and other departments to ensure smooth operations. Follow all health, safety, and operational procedures at all times.

Job Requirements

Current Class 2 Licence (though please get in touch if you are on your Class 2 Learners Licence) Dangerous Goods endorsement (desirable) Forklift Endorsement (desirable) Forklift Operator Certificate and experience (desirable) Previous freight delivery experience (desirable) Physically fit Availability to provide weekend cover A strong work ethic, reliability, and safety-first mindset Ability to work unsupervised and manage time effectively Good communication skills and ability to relate well with others Good knowledge of the Bay of Plenty Region MOJ records will be considered on a case by case basis Must pass a pre-employment drug test

Days of work
Mainly weekdays but some weekends will be required to cover other drivers 8am approx. start time (50 hours per week)
