Cafe Manager

A very busy cafe located in the Palmerston North Central Business District is seeking an experienced and motivated Cafe Manager to join their team. Key Responsibilities: • Oversee daily cafe operations and coordinate staff during busy service periods to ensure smooth and efficient workflow. • Support and guide junior team members, including assisting with training and development. • Maintain high standards of customer service, food quality, and presentation. • Carry out opening and closing procedures. • Manage stock control, inventory, and supplier ordering. • Operate POS systems and handle customer transactions.

• Need to have prior managerial experience in supervising staff in any relevant field (not necessary within a cafe environment), along with a relevant qualification or degree in management • Strong customer service and communication skills. • Able to pass a security check and drug test • Ability to lead, motivate, and support a team effectively • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment • Reliable and flexible with availability to work early morning shifts (start time from 6am) and available for both week days and weekends If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, can take initiative and lead by example, please apply today.
