A facilities management services company will soon partner with the New Zealand Defence Force to provide essential facilities, maintenance, and infrastructure services across camps and bases throughout Aotearoa. We are on a hunt for HVAC Technicians for Whenuapai Air Base to support the environments that enable NZDF personnel to focus on protecting and serving New Zealand communities. What You’ll Be Doing : • Diagnosing faults and failures in heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and associated mechanical plant. • Carrying out repairs and component replacement on equipment including air handling units, fan coil units, pumps, motors, valves, pipework and associated controls. • Installing HVAC equipment, ducting and associated mechanical systems in accordance with specifications and drawings. • Completes work orders and service activities in accordance with contractual response and resolution timeframes. • Complying with all contract requirements and Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental procedures.
Job Requirements
• Valid and Full Driver’s License • Appropriate trade qualification: for example, National Certificate in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or National Certificate in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (L4 and above) or other similar qualification OR full electrical licence OR HVAC experience • Practical experience in HVAC installation and maintenance • Proven Health & Safety training and experience. • The legal right to work in Aotearoa, ability to pass a drug and alcohol test and willingness to consent to a Criminal Record Check • Ability to meet NZDF specific security requirements
