We are seeking a reliable Planter and Harvester to join our team in Pukekohe. The role involves supporting daily greenhouse operations, including planting, pruning, watering, and harvesting crops such as tomatoes, chillies, courgettes, and eggplants.
Key responsibilities: - • Assist with daily greenhouse operations (planting, pruning, watering, harvesting) • Monitor plant health and report pests, diseases, or nutrient issues • Support integrated pest management (IPM) activities under guidance • Maintain greenhouse conditions (irrigation, ventilation, shading, temperature) • Carry out propagation tasks (seed sowing, transplanting, growing media prep) • Record crop growth, yields, and maintenance activities accurately • Keep greenhouse, tools, and equipment clean and organised • Assist with sorting, packing, and preparing produce for distribution • Follow all health and safety procedures, including chemical and manual handling
Job Requirements
• Must have reliable transport (no public transport available) • Physically capable of lifting to 20kg crates • Dependable and reliable with a strong work ethic
- Days of work
- Mon - Fri between 7. am & 6 pm There could be potential weekend work (30 hours per week)
