We are currently seeking dedicated Support Workers in Nelson to join a respected and well established healthcare provider. In this role, you will deliver person centred care and practical support, enabling individuals to maintain their independence, dignity, and overall quality of life. This community based position involves supporting clients in their own homes by providing personal care, household assistance, and day to day support. You will work closely with clients to assist with daily living activities while offering emotional and practical encouragement tailored to individual needs. Job Requirements
- Experience supporting people with disabilities is preferred; however, full training will be provided - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Confident using computers and mobile applications - Ability to work safely and professionally with challenging behaviours while maintaining confidentiality - Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team - High level of resilience and adaptability - Current full driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle - Physically able to meet the demands of the role - Health, Healthcare, or Health and Wellbeing qualifications are desirable but not essential - Must hold New Zealand Residency or Citizenship - Must have up to date CV Successful completion of police vetting and OT checks is required
