Fulltime Support Worker (Day and Night Shifts) Nelson

We are currently looking for empathetic and passionate Support Worker to work in Nelson. Our teams are our greatest asset, and we are committed to employing and training the best people. We are looking for energetic and motivated people to support our clients to achieve their goals and reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support. Responsibilities can vary, and you will follow a care plan, which may include some or all of the below: • Meal preparation • Community outings and integration • Giving medication • Personal cares (showering, toileting etc.) • Manual Handling and Hoist transfers • Home management

Attitude - a desire to help and support others, achieving excellence in all you do! Experience with Disability is preferred however training will be provided. • Sound communication and interpersonal skills • Computer literacy and ability to use Apps • Ability to work competently with challenging behaviours and maintain confidentiality • Be able to work both independently and as part of a team • Hold a current drivers licence and own reliable transport. • The ability to undertake the physical requirements of the position. • Healthcare qualifications - level 2 or be in the process of gaining (https://myskill.co.nz/) • Must pass all police vetting and CYRAS checks Applicants need to hold NZ Residency or Citizenship. Must be able to work overnight - 11pm to 7am.
