Duty Manager

A bar in East Tamaki is look for Duty Managers to join their team.

Responsibilities include:

• Supervise efficient working of FOH and BOH teams and assign shifts. • Oversee staff’s compliance with all health code and sanitation requirements. • Work with staff to project future needs for bar supplies, goods, and cleaning products. • Maintain inventory of all needed supplies to enhance sales. • Supervise workload and ensure effective working of bar activities and maintain excellent standards to meet operational expectations. • Assist in hiring and training new employees as well as the continuous training of existing staff. • Respond to customer complaints quickly and resolve them effectively. • Coordinate with team to ensure customer satisfaction and follow company procedures to increase work efficiency. • Resolve staff grievances together with Bar Manager/Working Shareholder. • Coordinate with Bar Manager/Working Shareholder for everyday operation and maintain financial and administrative records.

Ideal candidates should have: • At least 6 months’ relevant work experience in the same industry/field OR, - A relevant NZQF level 2 or 3 qualification OR a bachelor degree in any discipline. • A current LCQ is not required, but you may obtain your LCQ license within 3 months commencing employment. • Full DL and your own car as shifts may end past 10pm. • Flexibility to work late and on weekends. • Ability to pass a drug test.
