ROSEDALE site - We are seeking a motivated and reliable Trade Assistant to join our air conditioning team, Mechanical and Refrigeration company. We work with domestic and commercial projects from Heat Pumps installs to large commercial projects. This is an entry-level position ideal for someone keen to learn and looking to build a career as a Trade Assistant and to be part of the team working on these projects.

You will work closely with experienced service technicians, providing hands-on support with maintenance, cleaning, and general workshop tasks. The role involves both on-site and work across Auckland, but have jobs in other parts of NZ.
Full TRAINING and SUPERVISION will be PROVIDED for the successful candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic, great attitude and a willingness to learn. There are a number of different apprenticeships which can be offered to the successful applicant after a time. Our ideal candidate is someone who is hard working, honest, reliable and professional. We are looking for a full time Trade Assistant who can work with us to achieve our goals.
Key Responsibilities - Assist technicians with servicing and maintenance of air conditioning systems - Undertake filter cleaning and basic system upkeep - Support technicians during repair and service jobs - Maintain cleanliness and organisation of tools, equipment, and work areas - Travel between job sites and workshop as required - Follow health and safety procedures at all times - Work independently on assigned tasks when required
Job Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential - Full Class 1 driver’s licence is preferred - Must be legally eligible to work in New Zealand (NZ residency preferred) - Familiarity with the Auckland area is advantageous - Any criminal history must be disclosed - Positive attitude and strong willingness to learn - Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently - Physically fit and capable of manual work - CV is needed
