This six month role offers a motivated youth participant the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in marketing, communications, and visitor engagement. The Marketing & Visitor Experience Co-ordinator will help enhance HUHA’s visibility, strengthen storytelling, connect with communities through digital platforms, local events, sanctuary tours, and positive customer engagement, and foster volunteer involvement.

Outcomes & Learning Opportunities ● Gain practical skills in marketing, digital communications, and customer engagement. ● Build confidence in public speaking and visitor experience through sanctuary tours. ● Learn how storytelling fosters public engagement, fundraising, and volunteer recruitment. ● Receive mentorship and support from HUHA’s leadership team while contributing to animal welfare
Job Requirements
Skills & Attributes ● Passion for animals, community, and compassionate storytelling. ● Strong communication skills (written and spoken). ● Confident and friendly when engaging with visitors, customers, and groups. ● Basic social media knowledge (posting, reels, TikTok, stories, etc.). ● Organised, adaptable, and willing to learn. ● Works well as part of a team, with a positive and cooperative attitude. ● Creative with a good eye for visuals (photography, video, or design a plus). ● Full NZ Driver’s Licence required.
