Health Care Assistant

To safely, efficiently and effectively deliver care by prioritising attendance to Resident's needs and delivering the best care possible according to duty schedules, and the Nursing Procedure Manual. This includes requesting assistance in difficult care delivery situations. Ensure that all routine cares are delivered as per resident’s care plans including, showering, dressing, mobilising, grooming, nutritional assistance. As required the HCA might have to do Laundry, and perform cleaning and kitchen duties in a helpful manner and maintaining good infection control principles. There is an obligation of all staff to observe privacy, dignity, comfort & confidentiality of residents. Keep confidential all facility’s business To be an effective Team worker with consideration for other employees. It is required that record of reports are current, informative rather than merely gratuitous. The HCA is to be flexible, show initiative and be tolerant and understanding when duties are busy. To be readily adaptable to change.

Previous experience as a Health Care Assistant or Level 2, 3 or 4 Healthcare and Wellbeing certificate
