A Manukau-based bed and mattress employer is looking for a skilled mattress stitcher to join their team. This is a Sewing Machinist role and as a mattress stitcher, you will be: - Operating machines to stitch and join fabrics - Assembling mattresses by following detailed instructions - Accurately measuring and cutting materials and fabric. - Working closely with the carpentry and upholstery team to meet daily production targets in a fast paced environment. - Maintaining accuracy, consistency, and quality across all units If you are an experienced sewing machinist with experience in mattress making, this may be the role for you!
Job Requirements
- At least 6 months of mattress sewing experience - The ability to read measurements - Confident using tools and workshop machinery, especially tape edge stitching machines - A reliable, detail focused, and safety conscious personality - Ability to pass a Ministry of Justice check and pre-employment drug test
- Days of work
- Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm (30 hours per week)

- From $23.95 per hour. May be negotiable depending on experience
