Afterschool Childcare programme Stoke Team Leader

This is a rare opening for after school childcare Team leader at our Stoke site. You’ll be supporting tamariki in a fun, safe, and inclusive OSCAR programme, helping to create engaging activities and positive experiences after school and during school holidays. Run inside and outside focused activities, and be a strong role model to the tamariki that attend. We are looking for someone with at least two years’ experience with children. Great communication skills and a passion for working with children is a must. You will be part of an energetic team and gain hands-on experience in a busy childcare environment. You will have the opportunity to make a difference to the daily lives of kids aged 5 to 13 years by giving them an out of school experience that they love, sharing your own skills and creativity to contribute to exciting activities and programmes.

What We’re Looking For You will: • Have a genuine passion for working with children • Be reliable, warm, and great at building positive relationships • Hold a full or restricted driver license and be confident driving a Van • Be able to pass a Police Vetting / safety check • Be part of a safeguarding culture and prepared to undertake training • Hold a current first aid certificate or prepared to get one • Have strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude.

You may also have the opportunity to work on school holiday programmes which operate from 8:00am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday during summer and term time breaks. Hours are rostered on a casual basis between these. Great communication skills and a passion for working with children is a must.

Ideally you will have 2 years childcare experience, and be trustworthy, reliable, punctual, positive and full of energy with a passion to work with children. You need to be able to pass a police check and preferably have a full, clean drivers licence.
