Industrial Spray Painter

We are looking for an experienced Industrial Spray Painter to join the Duraspray Division at Duraspec Commercial Ltd. Based primarily at our Wiri factory, this hands-on role involves the spray painting of street lights, structural steelwork, and fabricated items, with some off-site work required from time to time.

Key Responsibilities • Surface preparation of steel and fabricated items including cleaning, sanding, blasting and grinding • Application of primers, undercoats, and top finish coats to a high standard. • Paint mixing. • Spray painting of street lights, steelwork, and other fabricated products • Packaging and delivery when required. • Off-site painting work as required • General factory duties to support the team • Operating a forklift safely and as needed • Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe factory environment

• Proven experience in industrial spray painting or automotive/car painting — essential • Strong knowledge of surface preparation techniques and paint systems • Ability to mix paints accurately and achieve consistent finishes • A high standard of workmanship and attention to detail • Current forklift licence (or willingness to obtain one) • A reliable, team-oriented attitude with a commitment to workplace safety • Ability to work both on-site and off-site as required • Hold a Full class 1 driver license. • Provide an up-to-date CV outlining relevant work experience
