White Pointer Boats is looking for an experienced Marine Fit-Out Technician / Boat Builder to join our production team in Gisborne. We build high-performance aluminium offshore vessels designed for New Zealand’s demanding marine conditions. Due to continued demand, we are expanding and are looking for a skilled tradesperson to take ownership of the fit-out process from hull to finished vessel. Installing marine hardware, engines, accessories, and deck fittings Installing fuel systems, steering systems, and rigging components Installing marine electronics, lighting, and wiring systems Completing full internal fit outs including seating, decks, and hatches Preparing hulls for final commissioning Working from build sheets and workshop drawings Testing and commissioning systems prior to handover

Job Requirements

Minimum 2+ years’ experience in marine fit-out, boat building, marine electrical, mechanical, or similar trade Must pass MOJ check and Drug tests Strong practical skills and attention to detail Ability to read and interpret build sheets or technical drawings Proven ability to produce high-quality workmanship Must Have an up to date CV. Must have legal right to work in New Zealand Eg New Zealand Citizen, perm resident etc.
