About The Role As part of a supportive team, you’ll help clients live as independently as possible in their homes and communities. You’ll support them to achieve their goals through practical and emotional care, following individual care plans.
Duties May Include: • Meal preparation • Supporting community outings and social connection • Medication administration • Personal cares (showering, toileting, etc.) • Home management

About You • A genuine desire to support and help others • Previous care or healthcare experience is beneficial but not essential • Strong communication skills • Healthcare qualifications are an advantage • Applicants must hold a full driver’s licence and have access to their own vehicle, as driving may be required during work to assist with some tasks, as well as for commuting to and from the workplace.
Applicants must live within 10-15km of the area and have the right to work in New Zealand and be willing to undergo police vetting and relevant background checks.

Job Requirements
• Have an updated CV with at least 2 contactable referees • Applicants must live within 10-15km of the area • NZQA Health & Wellbeing Level 2 preferred (support available to obtain a level 2) • Ability to pass a Ministry of Justice check • Applicants must hold a full driver’s licence and have access to their own vehicle, as driving may be required during work to assist with some tasks, as well as for commuting to and from the workplace. • Understanding of the disability, home and community sector, including Health & Safety and sector standards • Knowledge of the HDC Disability Rights Code • Community experience is an advantage; a genuine, empathetic approach and strong boundaries are essential (training provided) • Good numeracy and literacy skills

- Saturday and Sunday- 7 am to 12 pm and 4pm to 7 pm (15 hours per week)

- $23.97–$29.68 p/hr depending on experience or qualifications
